Oh!!!!! Looky here, lookey here…the Spanish Mackerel have finally made their appearance. The kids absolutely love catching these fast and furious fish. Sheephead are in full swing spawn mode and the bite couldn’t get any better, (unless they started diving in the boat.) Water temperature is around 70.2 degrees. Cobias are not too far off!!!!!!!
Been a great week. Spring break is right around the corner. We have lots of specials going on right now. Inshore fishing has been exceptionally consistent. Along with our Sheephead, the guys have been catching some big Black Drum in the deep water holes. We had some keeper Redfish come in as well.
Sheephead fishing is absolutely phenomenal! The afternoon bite has been better this week. The air temperature is around 75 for the high and 65 for the low. Water temperature is warming up fast. The boats have been coming in with big catches everyday. Go check out our Facebook page for daily pictures.
Its here finally! One of my favorite times of the year the water is about to start heating up, the migratory fish are about to start moving through and we have had plenty of action already with the Bull Redfish and Sheephead fishing.
Later this month the Sheephead well start to spawn and get super hungry and be savage. You want some drag screaming action, the bull reds are in full swing, come on!!
Flounder bite is still consistent. We are starting to also catch Sheephead really well around the bridges and docks. Weapon of choice is 8-10lb test allowing these big boys to give you a run for your money.
Afternoon trip today was nothing short of a success. Ended up catching some flounders, white snappers, and vermilions snappers for a little mixed bag for dinner. The weather is warmer then it usually is this time of the year and it is firing up the fish.
Had an awesome duck hunt this morning with some great guys. Ended up with a limit of Redheads and Bluebills. We followed up the hunt with an afternoon flounder trip. The near-shore gulf bite for flounders started off slow this fall but is now its getting hotter and hotter. Book a cast n’ blast trip now!
